Revision Strategy for the Last 30 Days

Since  the final and crucial one month is left before Prelims-2020 exam,here are some key points to consider-

1. The last 30 days are the most important phase of your preparation,and it can turn the tables in your favour if you do revision as per proper planning and strategy.
2. You should revise the key topics ,from both static as well as current affairs properly,the topics which have high rate of return.Pls check our Revision Strategy articles for different subjects.We got it right even last year.
3. However good or bad your preparation has been till now, you can still clear prelims exam with flying colors if you utilize these last 30 days,there is no need to be worried ,most of the students who are going to clear prelims 2020 will do so because of good utilization of next 30 days.
4. Lock-down will have one impact on Prelims exam- it will bring many working aspirants into good competition with non-working students as they too got time to prepare properly.This will result into more competition in the coming Prelims.
5. Last year’s prelims paper should be the guide in devising your preparation strategy,emphasis on topics which UPSC has been asking repeatedly.
6. It may become monotonous,boring and mentally tough for some of you to sit and study continuously,good thing is that you actually don’t need to do so.Take short breaks,change topics,change subjects,listen some good music ,be rejuvenated mentally.
7. This is the phase when one should be least worried about the results,you just need to focus on giving your best,give your 100 % to preparation without worrying about cut off and results etc.You will get plenty of time to ponder about cut offs after the exam.
8. Its never the best strategy to revise subject wise,like 5 days continuously Polity,then 5 days continuously History etc, specially in the last 30 days.Last 15 days specially should be allotted to important topics from all subjects.One needs to know the topics to be revised in the last few days.
9. Make a modest time table for the important topics to revise in last 15 days,and follow it.
10. Many of you may be picking current affairs at the last moment ,and you wont get sufficient time to revise.Best thing to do in such case is to make micro notes while studying, one line summaries of topics(can be easily done in subjects like Science Tech),which can be easily revised in few hours at the end.
